Websites that aren't ours
Updated last month
Our main sites are bettercampus.com and this help centre at help.bettercampus.com. You may also come across official subdomains we run, like support.bettercampus.com for support and feedback.bettercampus.com for feedback. Anything else using our name or our old one isn't us.
Sites we don't run
These are the ones we know about. They use our old name, describe features that sound like ours, and point people at browser extensions:
better-lms.com
better-canvas.com — sends you to better-lms.com
bettercampuss.com — our name with two s's, and it calls itself official
We have no say in what they publish, what they link to, or what happens to anything you install or type there.
If you installed an extension from one of these sites, remove it and install ours from the store listing on bettercampus.com.
How to know it's really us
Install from our site. Go to bettercampus.com and use the store link there. On the Chrome Web Store the listing reads BetterCampus (prev. BetterCanvas).
Check the address bar. Ours always ends in bettercampus.com — one s, no hyphen.
Our emails come from bettercampus.com. Anything else claiming to be us isn't.
Why this happens
We used to be called BetterCanvas, and the old name still has a lot of search traffic attached to it — see BetterCanvas is now BetterCampus. Sites built around that name aren't necessarily up to anything, but they aren't us, and we can't stand behind them.
Found one we've missed?
Email [email protected] with the address. It genuinely helps.
