Remix a theme
Updated 3 weeks ago
A remix is a copy of someone else's theme that you then change. Start from a community theme you almost like, adjust the parts you don't, and keep it as your own. Free lets you remix 3; Pro is unlimited.
Remix vs create
Both end with a theme that's yours. The difference is where you start.
Remix — you begin with a finished theme and change what you want. Faster, and useful when someone got the hard part right.
Create — you begin with an empty editor. See Create a theme.
Remix one
Open the Community tab and find a theme close to what you want.
Preview it, then swap to it so you're working on the real thing.
Open the theme editor and change the colors, fonts, cards, or cursors.
Save it for yourself, or submit it to the community as your remix.
If you're sharing it
Remixes get reviewed like any other submission, and one rule matters most here: your version has to be meaningfully different from the original. A copy with one color changed will be rejected.
Give it its own dark mode style too — that's part of what reviewers look for.
