Who can see your materials

Study material you make is public by default. Other students can find it in Explore, and it can show up for people taking the same class at your school. You can switch any of it to private.
What public means
A public note or study set can be found by other BetterCampus students. It's most likely to surface for people in the same class at the same school as you, but it's part of the wider Explore library too.
Public means readable, not editable. Nobody can change your material, and it stays in your Locker.
Making something private
You can set any material to private. A private note or study set stops appearing in Explore and in other students' suggestions. Only you can see it.
You can change this whenever you want, and change it back.
What to keep private
Most class notes are fine to share — that's the point of Explore, and someone probably shared the set you used last week. Set something to private if it contains:
Anything personal you wrote in a note that isn't about the class
Graded work your teacher hasn't returned yet, or anything your school treats as an academic integrity issue to share
Material you copied from a textbook or a paid course
Check your school's rules before sharing anything from a graded assignment. Sharing answers to work that hasn't been submitted can count as academic misconduct, whatever BetterCampus allows.
