Upload your syllabus
Updated 3 weeks ago
Upload a class syllabus and BetterCampus fills in the course info, the schedule, and the grading scale from it. One upload does the whole setup.
Upload one
Open the class from Courses.
On the Course info tab, upload the syllabus.
Once it's saved you'll see Syllabus saved, with View saved syllabus to open it again and Replace to swap in a new one.
What it fills in
Course info — the class name, its code, and your professor
Schedule — which days it meets and at what times, which then blocks that time out on your Planner. See Set your class schedule.
Grading scale — the letter cutoffs, which is what makes your GPA accurate. See Set your grading scale.
Check what it read
Syllabuses aren't written to a standard. A class with an unusual grading table or an irregular meeting pattern can come out wrong, and a wrong grading scale skews every number in Grades without looking obviously broken.
Go through the Schedule and Grading scale tabs after uploading. Anything it got wrong you can fix by hand.
Replacing it
If your professor sends an updated syllabus, click Replace and upload the new one.
Do it per class
Each class has its own syllabus, its own meeting times, and often its own grading scale. Upload each one separately.
Do this at the start of a term while you still have every syllabus to hand. It's the one setup task that pays off all term.
