Blast
Updated 3 weeks ago
Blast is the fast one. Terms and definitions drift across the screen on asteroids, and you have to hit the right one before time runs out.
How to play
Open a study set that has terms and questions in it.
Go to the Games area and choose Blast.
You're shown a prompt. Blast the asteroid carrying the answer that matches it.
Keep going until the clock runs out. Your score is how many you got right.
What it's good for
Blast doesn't give you time to think, which is the point. It's the game to play once you already know the material and want the answers to come without effort — the difference between recognizing a term and actually recalling it.
If you're still learning the set, start with Blocks instead. Blast under time pressure on material you haven't learned yet is just frustrating.
The other games
Blocks — gentler, for material you're still learning
Match — a memory game, harder once you know the material
Charms — a puzzle game with no time pressure
All four run on a study set — see About study sets to build one.
