Make sure you're signed in to your BetterCampus account. If you're using the extension without an account, you won't have access to email preferences. Create an account or sign in first.
Manage your email preferences
Control which emails you receive from BetterCampus, including product updates, onboarding tips, and usage alerts. You can manage everything from your account settings.
Find your email settings
Open BetterCampus Settings
Click Email in the sidebar
You'll see the Email notifications page with your current preferences
What you can control
BetterCampus sends emails in two main categories. You can turn each category on or off:
Onboarding — Getting started tips, welcome messages, and trial reminders to help you set up BetterCampus
Usage Quota — Alerts when you're approaching limits on features like study files, theme creation, or other usage-based features
To stop all emails from BetterCampus, use the master toggle at the top of the page labeled Turn off all email notifications from this organization.
Unsubscribe from all emails
If you want to stop receiving emails entirely:
Go to Settings → Email
Toggle off the master switch at the top of the page
You'll see a confirmation message: You have been successfully unsubscribed from all BetterCampus emails
You can resubscribe anytime by toggling it back on.
Unsubscribe via email link
Every email from BetterCampus includes an unsubscribe link at the bottom. Click it to manage your preferences without signing in.
If the link doesn't work, you'll see an error message asking you to use the original email link. Try opening the email again and clicking the link directly, or sign in to your account and use Settings → Email instead.
Troubleshooting
I don't see the Email tab in settings
My preferences won't save
If you see Failed to load current email preferences. Please try again, wait a moment and refresh the page. If the problem continues, try signing out and back in, or contact support at [email protected].
I unsubscribed but I'm still getting emails
After unsubscribing, it can take up to 24 hours for changes to take effect for scheduled emails. If you're still receiving emails after 24 hours, contact support.
