My planner isn't syncing
Updated 4 days ago
If your Planner is empty or missing assignments, it's usually one of four things: you're signed out, the page needs a refresh, the assignment isn't in your school platform's own planner, or you're looking at the wrong date range.
Check you're signed in
BetterCampus reads your assignments from your school platform. Signed out, nothing syncs.
Open your school platform in your browser.
Click the BetterCampus icon in your toolbar.
If it asks you to sign in, do that.
Your assignments should appear within a few seconds.
Refresh to pull new data
Go to your school platform dashboard.
Refresh the page with F5, or Cmd+R on a Mac.
Open the BetterCampus sidebar.
A brand new assignment can take up to a minute to show up.
Assignments still missing
Check your school platform's own planner. BetterCampus pulls from it. If an assignment isn't there, it won't be here either.
Check you're on the right account. Some schools run more than one instance — a main campus and a separate one for summer classes, for example.
Check the date range. The Planner opens on the current week. Assignments due further out are there, just not in view.
Missing assignments from a school calendar feed
If only the assignments a school calendar feed brought in are missing, check the feed in Settings, under Calendar feeds. A feed that keeps failing stops syncing and shows an error on its card. Saving the same link again brings a failed feed back.
Assignments that disappear after you removed a feed are expected: removal deletes the assignments that feed alone supplied. See Add a school calendar feed.
Calendar sync isn't working
Calendar sync — sending your assignments to Google Calendar or Outlook — needs Pro. On Free you get the Planner, but not the connection to an outside calendar.
Check your plan in BetterCampus settings. If you're on Pro and it still isn't syncing, disconnect and reconnect your calendar from Sync your calendar.
Still not working?
Try another browser, or a private window, to rule out an extension clash.
Turn off other extensions built for your school platform.
Check whether your school platform is down. If it's slow or not loading for other students either, BetterCampus can't sync until it's back.
If none of that helps, email [email protected]. Tell us what you already tried, and send a screenshot of any error.
