Troubleshooting
The extension isn't showing up in my toolbar
My learning platform still looks the same after installing
Make sure you're signed into your school's learning platform. BetterCampus only activates on supported pages — it won't work on other websites. If you're definitely on your school's platform and signed in, try refreshing the page.
I'm worried about the "Access your data for all websites" permission
This is a standard Firefox permission for extensions that need to work across different school domains. BetterCampus only activates on supported learning platform pages (like yourschool.instructure.com or canvas.yourschool.edu). It doesn't read or store data from any other websites you visit.
I get an error when trying to install
This usually means your Firefox browser is outdated. Update Firefox to version 90 or newer, then try installing again. If that doesn't work, check with your school's IT department — some schools block extension installations.
My school blocks Firefox extensions
Some schools restrict extension installations on school-managed devices. If this happens, you may need to use a personal device or ask your school's IT department to allow BetterCampus.
BetterCampus is not affiliated with or endorsed by Instructure, Canvas, or any other learning management system. It's an independent project built by students, for students.
