Change your celebration style
Completing tasks feels better with a little celebration. BetterCampus lets you choose how your to-dos celebrate when you check them off—from classic confetti to fireworks, stars, or nothing at all if you prefer a quieter experience.
Where to find celebration settings
Celebration settings are part of your To-Do preferences:
Click the BetterCampus extension icon in your browser toolbar.
Find the Celebration section in your To-Do settings.
Choose your preferred celebration style and amount.
Celebration style options
Your celebration style determines what animation plays when you complete a task. Choose from:
Style | What you'll see |

Confetti | Classic confetti burst—the original celebration animation |
Fireworks | Full-screen fireworks explosion |
Stars | Twinkling stars float across your screen |
Hearts | Hearts drift upward when you complete tasks |
Sparkle | Subtle sparkle effect for a gentle celebration |
None | No celebration animation—tasks complete quietly |
Choose None if you prefer to check off tasks without any animation, or if you're using BetterCampus in a shared space like a library.
Confetti amount
When your celebration style is set to Confetti, you can also control how much confetti appears:
Normal — A standard confetti burst
Extra — More confetti for a bigger celebration
Insane — Full-screen confetti explosion for maximum celebration
None — No confetti (same as setting the style to None)
Where celebrations appear
Your celebration style and confetti amount apply across BetterCampus wherever task completion triggers a celebration:
To-Do list — When you check off items in your to-do list
Planner — When you complete tasks in your planner view
Study — When you finish study sessions or complete learning milestones
All three surfaces use the same celebration style, so you get a consistent experience no matter where you're completing tasks.
Changing your settings
Your celebration preference is saved automatically. Once you select a style or confetti amount, BetterCampus remembers your choice across browser sessions.

Can I have different celebration styles for different features?
Celebration style is a single setting that applies everywhere celebrations occur. You can't set different styles for To-Do, Planner, and Study separately.
