BetterCampus 8.5.5 brings a simplified planner sidebar, faster grades and study pages, and fixes for sidebar and theme issues.
Planner sidebar simplified
The planner sidebar is cleaner and easier to use:
Now shows a fixed week view—no more switching between views
Inline planning status shows how many items need planning at a glance
Overdue items are included so nothing gets missed
Show more control at the bottom for expanding when needed
Desktop reminders
In-browser task reminder notifications are now available for planned tasks and study sessions.
Faster grades and study pages
Grades and study pages now load faster with cached data showing immediately while fresh data loads in the background.
Grades editing improvements
New Edit Grades button makes it clearer how to modify your grades
Mass delete and hide actions are now easier to use in What If mode
You can always restore hidden items if you change your mind
Dashboard widget polish
Widget styling is now consistent with matching backgrounds, shadows, and corners
Tooltips on grade icons explain what each item means
Resize behavior improved for larger widgets
Navigation and sidebar fixes
Navigator page got a cleaner look with refined icons and themes section
Duplicate inbox tabs in the sidebar are gone
Dark mode UI issues fixed—the clear button is now in the right place
Rebranding popup no longer reappears on every page refresh when you're not signed in
Course home now has an Edit Course Details button in the top right
Smaller fixes
Music player resize handle no longer covers the play button
Label renamed back to To-Do List for consistency
